    Maybe a cyber-mafia infiltrated MS to grab some user data? Stuff like

    • setting itself to autostart
    • hijacking the keyboard to make copies & screenshots
    • encoding it in base64 (to avoid detection)
    • using WebSocket (to work around proxy blocking)

    sounds pretty much like from a malware playbook. At least not an accident.

        I mean, sure. But there are large, dotzens of million $ heavy professional cybercrime gangs out there. Cyber-gang woul’ve probably been better.

          Totally agree.

          I was just emphasizing the difference between mafia and Microsoft is one have gang members and the other is army of lawyers.
